A considered starting frame
Auto Film Balance prepares a shot for creative film work. It corrects broad exposure imbalance, sets a sensible tonal foundation and considers skin and bright sources before the chosen emulation and optical effects are refined.
The response
The analysis aims to correct broad over- or underexposure before a strong look makes the imbalance harder to judge.
Skin and highlight structure receive special attention so the starting correction does not sacrifice the parts of the frame that are difficult to recover.
The result can be undone. The feature is an editable starting point rather than a destructive one-click finish.

Restraint matters
Avoid analysing a transition frame, a flash or a moment that does not represent the shot. Automatic balance cannot infer the intended mood: a night scene should not be forced to daylight brightness, and a warm practical should not automatically become neutral.
