A practical way to use it
- Set the correct input profile and make sure no accidental transform precedes the plugin.
- Use Analyze Clip on a representative frame with the subject and important lights visible.
- Review the result on scopes and across the shot, not only on the analysis frame.
- Keep the balance, refine it manually or undo it before trying a different approach.
Restraint matters
What to avoid
Avoid analysing a transition frame, a flash or a moment that does not represent the shot. Automatic balance cannot infer the intended mood: a night scene should not be forced to daylight brightness, and a warm practical should not automatically become neutral.
