Scene-aware response
The analysis considers exposure balance, highlight energy and tonal distribution before setting the strength of the film response.
Film looks that read the frame
A static preset repeats the same recipe on a bright sunset, an interior and a night exterior. Adaptive Film Intelligence first reads the tonal behaviour of the frame, then shapes the selected base look into a more useful starting point for that shot.
The response
The analysis considers exposure balance, highlight energy and tonal distribution before setting the strength of the film response.
Clean Cinema, Soft Negative, Warm Print, Night Film, Dream and Vintage Chrome provide different visual directions while the adaptation keeps them connected to the source.
The analysis establishes a starting basis. Halation, bloom, grain, compression and the remaining controls stay available for deliberate grading decisions.
DaVinci Resolve workflow
Restraint matters
Do not treat adaptive analysis as automatic final grading. Shot matching, creative intent and local corrections still belong to the colorist. A useful adaptive look should reduce repetitive setup work without hiding why the image changed.
