A static preset repeats the same recipe on a bright sunset, an interior and a night exterior. Adaptive Film Intelligence first reads the tonal behaviour of the frame, then shapes the selected base look into a more useful starting point for that shot.

- Complete the input and output profile selection first.
- Enable Adaptive Film Intelligence and select a base look that fits the story rather than one isolated frame.
- Compare several shots from the same scene before judging the adaptation.
- Refine individual film tools without expecting the base look to enable them automatically.
Restraint matters
What to avoid
Do not treat adaptive analysis as automatic final grading. Shot matching, creative intent and local corrections still belong to the colorist. A useful adaptive look should reduce repetitive setup work without hiding why the image changed.
